{"id":39494,"date":"2022-01-10T07:00:37","date_gmt":"2022-01-10T06:00:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/strtgy.design\/articles\/action-plan-for-2022-1-of-4\/"},"modified":"2022-01-10T07:00:37","modified_gmt":"2022-01-10T06:00:37","slug":"action-plan-for-2022-1-of-4","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/strtgy.design\/en\/strtgy-notes-en\/action-plan-for-2022-1-of-4\/","title":{"rendered":"Action Plan for 2022 (1 of 4)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Hey, happy Monday!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It&#8217;s been a while since we&#8217;ve heard from you, hope to find you well!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I was in the midst of preparing for the New Year and thought you might find what you are about to read extremely useful.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">At the close of the year a lot of time is wasted in making budgets, I talked about it <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/strtgy.design\/strtgy-notes\/il-budget-che-sta-arrivando\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">here (\u211691)<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It&#8217;s not that it&#8217;s really wasted time-it&#8217;s just that the budget is not the best tool for setting strategy.<\/span><b> The budget is an authorization to spend while your team needs a plan to make money, they are two different things <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00af\\_(\u30c4)_\/\u00af<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Fact is that any form of strategy devised between November and December goes the way of the Christmas tree. Upon return it is put in the basement to be taken up again the following year.   <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">And if you haven&#8217;t done it in due time it may seem useless to do it now. You already have to go in a hurry! <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">So I put together <\/span><b>a plan of action<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. Simple, quick and above all pragmatic.  <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You will receive 4 different emails in the next 4 days.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">One for each level of the strategy for which I have reported key actions and KPIs to consider.  <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Go ahead and share the note with your team; they will thank you.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For the <\/span><b>news<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> there will be a way to update you.<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I have decided to write to you more frequently this year, as long as it pleases you. In addition to notes I will send you shorter messages, with few turns of phrase and full of action. As between friends who care about each other&#8217;s success.  <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Just make sure to keep an eye on these emails. And to do that you need gasoline if only to make sure you can continue to do what the world needs tomorrow. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Here are three actions to fill up: in order of priority.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Consolidate your recurring revenue.<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you feel that every year you have to rebuild everything from scratch maybe it is time to design your products\/services so that you have recurring revenue each month (which does not mean getting paid in installments). If you want to have a chat about this go ahead and choose when from my   <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/strtgy.design\/en\/meeting-with-antonio\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">calendar<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If, on the other hand, you already have recurring services make sure that everyone has renewed and that the billing and payment system has not broken down for some reason.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Want to make more? Propose a discount if they are willing to pay you more months right away. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Everyone wants to save money!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Contact those who have bought in the past.  <\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">They already know how you work and if it worked they will have no problem buying back from you. There is more margin here because these are customers for whom you have already incurred acquisition costs. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Close all the closable<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Before you start focusing on acquiring new ones make a list of prospects who have put off until the new year and contact them.
