{"id":39502,"date":"2021-10-25T07:00:34","date_gmt":"2021-10-25T05:00:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/strtgy.design\/articles\/the-meeting-that-always-goes-deserted\/"},"modified":"2021-10-25T07:00:34","modified_gmt":"2021-10-25T05:00:34","slug":"the-meeting-that-always-goes-deserted","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/strtgy.design\/en\/strtgy-notes-en\/the-meeting-that-always-goes-deserted\/","title":{"rendered":"The meeting that always goes deserted"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Hey, happy Monday!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This week&#8217;s focus is on the Process level.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For some it is as thin as a hair.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The way of working is passed down orally by the few who know how.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For others it is often like an insulating rubber wall.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To separate common sense from possible mistakes and bounce, on occasion, the problem away from one&#8217;s table.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is here, however, that managers play the most important game.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The one that links discipline with execution.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This is where the value of a company is created along with the freedom of people.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">But that meeting where you work &#8220;<\/span><b>on the<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> business&#8221; and not &#8220;<\/span><b>in the<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> business&#8221; does not appear in any calendar&#8230;.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #009ccd;\">\u25cfProcesses \/ Working at 10,000 mt.<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>The copywriters&#8217; last resort is to steal a phrase from Albert Einstein like this one that fits the theme particularly well: &#8220;Folly lies in doing the same thing over and over again expecting different results.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Do you know who else you can find on this beach that always seems to be comfortable considering how crowded it is?<\/p>\n<p>Those in meetings only complain about the numbers thinking it is just inability or inattention.<\/p>\n<p>But the numbers are the effect of how good the processes are.<\/p>\n<p>But how often do you get a chance to stop, analyze and optimize them?<\/p>\n<p>Who is authorized to do this? Who is responsible for it? <\/p>\n<p>When leads are lacking, it is not the advertising that fails but the <strong>customer acquisition process<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>When customers are missing, it is not the <strong>sales<\/strong> people who are not good, but the <strong>sales process<\/strong> that is the most random and &#8220;magical&#8221; of business activities.<\/p>\n<p>When the client is dissatisfied with the work, it is not the client who is a \ud83d\udca9, but the <strong>design process<\/strong> that is made up only of empathy, aesthetic sense and ego instead of structure, priorities and testing.<\/p>\n<p>Your schedule will already be full of moments to work together with your colleague on how to get things done, probably something you will have done a thousand times.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As they say&#8230; this meeting could have been an email, maybe a phone call, better yet a message on slack but more than anything else <\/span><b>a page in the playbook .<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>It is no accident that I used the word <strong>playbook<\/strong>.
