Together with Gary Hamel, Zanini helps future-oriented organizations become more resilient, innovative and engaging workplaces. Previously, Zanini was an associate partner at McKinsey &amp; Company and a leader in the firm&#8217;s organization, strategy, and financial services.  <\/p>\n\n<p>He left Europe for the United States in 1994 to attend Harvard University&#8217;s John F. Kennedy School of Government, where he graduated with a master&#8217;s degree in public policy in 1996. He then moved to Santa Monica, California, and earned a Ph.D. in policy analysis from the Pardee RAND Graduate School. <\/p>\n\n<p>Zanini has been an associate partner at McKinsey &amp; Company and a leader in the firm&#8217;s organization, strategy and financial services practices.<\/p>\n\n<p>He spent five years as a policy analyst at the RAND Corporation, a public policy think tank. In the mid-1990s he conducted research on how terrorists and other insurgent groups were exploiting information-age technologies to operate as agile networks. <\/p>\n\n<p>Over the years, he has written a number of articles on strategy and organization for McKinsey Quarterly. His writings and research have been published in the Harvard Business Review, the Financial Times and Fortune. <\/p>\n\n<p>He currently lives in Boston with his wife and three daughters.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Michele Zanini is co-founder of Management Lab.
