Hey, happy Monday,

I look forward to 6:30 p.m. today to meet us all in the STRTGY meeting with Daniele Francescon, co-founder of Serenis (formerly NeN and Poste Energia)

Daniel has an enviable track record, and when this happens it is because nothing is left to luck. Over the years of venture building he has codified a playbook that he will share with us in this live session. I asked him to preview the most important building blocks. Here they are.

  1. Zero compromise on people
  2. Build a “conditional freedom” environment
  3. Endorsement from the top (CEO, no C-suite)
  4. Align incentives & celebrate
  5. Good balance outsource/insource

We will address these points one by one, accessing his experience and avoiding predictable mistakes.

There are already more than 130 registrants at the time I am writing this email. Not everyone will obviously be able to connect LIVE, but certainly most will watch the recording.

If you don’t want to leave your questions unanswered, I suggest you anticipate them using this form. They will be the first ones that Daniel will answer.

ALWAYS MAKE PROGRESS ⤴

Antonio

The STRTGY Drumbeat

Did you know that there is a Facebook group of STRTGY that has +1700 members?

Some time ago I launched a survey within this group, asking whether Facebook was really the right space to interact on a level that would bring tangible value to all members. The answer was clear.

The organic distribution of posts does not allow people to stay updated or actively contribute to initiatives. Speaking in numbers: only 18% of group members saw the post and only 2% of members voted. Of the various options available, 50% chose Telegram as an alternative platform.

Numbers too small to make a useful decision for the future of STRTGY.

Here is the plan.

Codename: The Drumbeat

The drumbeat is the rhythm that moves a team rowing synchronized to succeed.

It is the rhythm that I want to build together with you.

I have prepared a few questions that will help me design the future of the community.

What would make STRTGY the most pragmatic working group for the growth of

  • visionaries and business leaders who want to connect people with strategy and results?
  • product and design leaders who want to work on successful products?
  • Sales leaders who want to support the growth of their organizations?

Few questions.

Great impact.

And a chance to enter a preview.

Thank you in advance for your input.

I owe you my commitment.

Those who grow do three things differently: they separate current management from strategic exploration, they establish a weekly learning cycle that transforms evidence into action, and they reduce the complexity of metrics to three interconnected levels that describe product, impact, and profit.
