Hey, happy Monday!

In STRTGY there is this thing: Every time someone on the team adds a task to the backlog, and enters the date they expect to finish that task, a small mathematical function calculates the percentage of the year in which it falls.

It is a small visual aid that allows anyone working with us to synchronize their intentions with their goals.

Just one of many along with:

  • this one that shows you how to align initiatives and OKRs
  • And that literally allows you to take the dust off the backlog.

Basically, you can find out for yourself whether it is too early or too late.

There is no need to make a call.

This I have just reported is one of the many clippings that I have not found a place Make Progress with OKRs. I could have put it in Chapter 6 where I talk about Progress OS, the Operating System that everyone can implement to engineer that galvanizing feeling of progress that moves people, but it was already so dense with information that it would have shifted your attention to a detail you can always implement once you have laid a solid foundation.
