Hey, this is a great Monday!

Here is a taste oftonight’s event with Paolo Borzacchiello.

I suspect that many strategies fail not because they are ineffective but because they are not properly communicated and therefore are not executed precisely because they are not understood.

Language is a powerful tool that we must be able to use, ethically, to our advantage.

I recommend that you catch up with one of Paul’s most effective books (they all are actually but this one is really very practical), HCE. . It’s actually a sales manual, but I found it incredibly interesting, especially for those of us who have to communicate strategy to our team because the first people to “sell” it to are the very people who will have to execute it.

To let you experience for yourself how powerful a well-communicated message becomes, I have written a letter (or a presentation outline) for you to motivate your team to use OKRs.

You can copy and paste it and send it to your board as well.

The pattern with which it is written will be explained step by step to those attending the event.

ALWAYS MAKE PROGRESS
-Antonio

● OKRs / Sell them internally.

A scientifically written letter to convince.

This text is written using the E3 (E-cubed) framework designed by Paolo Borzacchiello. The 3 E’s stand for Engage, Explain and Exchange and is built to allow your message to travel like a sharp arrow through the three brains of your interlocutor.

It could be an email to your team or a presentation. Feel free to use it to get your team’s “yes.” Edit the content to fit your context and style so you can test its effectiveness right away. I will leave words in gray between the lines that indicate the steps and aspects of the method.

Connect this evening to learn more about the technique.

Engage / Curiosity First
Guys, we are just at the beginning of February and I have concluded an in-depth analysis of our data. I can’t hide the fact that the past year has been difficult, but what I have seen makes me realize that we have a great chance to replicate, if not exceed, the results we have already shown we can achieve.
Engage / Help
The time has come for us on the Leadership Team to equip ourselves with a new and more effective management tool. I have identified a method that will be able to enable us to improve the way we work quickly and without making the fatal mistakes into which those who decide to improvise inevitably fall.
Engage / Possibility
In analyzing what we have been doing, I have identified patterns common to successful projects and would like to work with you to replicate them. I really see a real possibility of achieving and exceeding our goals.
Engage / Resource
The administration I am sure will have no difficulty in streamlining procedures to quickly unlock the resources you will need to execute the strategy. No red tape.
Explain / Describe Issue
Working in this new hybrid mode has certainly made things more complicated than necessary. Having distributed teams requires us leaders to have to measure the impact of activities by making sure everyone invests their time in activities with clear contributions to the strategy. It is also important to celebrate successes and motivate every single member of our teams for the great work they are doing.
Engage / Peculiarity
Focus, alignment and autonomy are not just problems in our company. But, if we want to, we can solve them faster than other organizations still groping in the dark.
Engage / Solve
With this new growth management tool, it will definitely change the way we work. We will be more agile, faster and more precise in execution. We will work less but better because we will be able to measure our contribution to results. We will then be able to focus only on the important things, and it will be possible for everyone to make the necessary decisions independently because we will know exactly which direction to go in.
Engage/Show
The methodology I am telling you about is called OKR (Objective & Key Result). It is successfully used by companies we admire, including in Italy. I am also proud to show you the framework we will use. It’s called OKR Road to Black Belt and it was developed by STRTGY. In just 90 days or less, we will codify the strategy, bring out the most important numbers, and have our Key Goals and Results architecture in place in time for the start of the next quarter.
Exchange / Maybe
I know it might seem unrealistic to define a winning strategy in such a short time especially if we have to “steal” the time from all the things we already have on our plate. I must confess that I had the same doubt myself and actually I am convinced that we could only fail if we did, as we are used to doing, everything on our own, self-taught and without the proper tools.
Exchange / Guides
Here is how we will proceed. Already in the next few weeks we may meet with the STRTGY team for kickoff. It will only take 45 min, their way of conducting the meetings is phenomenal, I recommend you attend even if only to steal their techniques. They will show us the program which is precise and structured, you will see it will be impossible to go wrong.
Exchange / Join
If you would like to be part of the team that will guide the future of this company, send me an email with your availability by 1 p.m. tomorrow so I can cross agendas and choose a date to meet and schedule work.

To our progress.
