Hey happy Monday.

Timeline

In May 2023 I spoke for the first time in Turin about Augmented Leadership by launching the provocation that the next CEO will be an AI.

Will that be what is happening to OpenAI itself?
(On the NY Times home page there is a blurb in which it says that he is in talks to return. And that he has already created perhaps another company. We shall see…)

In June in Note 150 – The C-Suite of the Future, I mapped the new roles that are emerging, not because of AI, but because of the acceleration that AI is bringing to the execution of any business model. For each I also identified the 3 KPIs to monitor their performance

  1. Chief AI Officer
  2. Chief Strategy Officer
  3. Chief Learning Officer
  4. Chief Community Officer
  5. Plus four more roles you’ll find in the second part
(sign up, or keep your membership active, so you don’t miss it)

On Nov. 6 at its developer conference, OpenAI launched a new feature that allows anyone to build their own personal assistant by combining private information and new skills such as accessing the web, writing code and analyzing data, and creating images.

Things are going faster than expected.

Bring your own Robot

It is the first step toward a future where companies will multiply their workforce by coming to terms for the first time with the fact that part of the employees will be human, and part will be algorithms and robots.

The name and duties of the Human Resource role will also likely change, as there will no longer be only humans to manage.

My idea is that soon companies will attach a company robot to every employee as part of the welcome kit along with a computer, cell phone, meal vouchers and company car.

Stopping AI in the enterprise is like trying to stop the wind with your hands. Impossible. And so, waiting for my prophecy to come true, everyone will bring their own robots to work.

Meet the first AI-Coach from STRTGY

I have spent the last few weeks training the first AI-Coach from STRTGY with the task of helping anyone build, review, implement and measure the Growth Machine.

The Growth Machine AI Assistant in this version uses not only with the information in the book but also real examples and personal notes.

Let me show you these first surprising results.

How to use the Growth Machine AI Assistant (via ChatGPT)

Creating the Growth Machine from the corporate site

Once the chat has started you can click on “Create a growth machine starting from my website,” and after providing the URL, the assistant will analyze the content to identify the industry and business model and thus suggest the most suitable gears to build the mechanics of growth.

In this video you can see tips for building the Growth Machine of Everly, a €100M revenue Italian scaleup in the grocery delivery industry.

If for some reason the site is not accessible, or the information gathered is not sufficient, the assistant asks specific questions and can suggest with the same accuracy-if not higher-the gears of the Growth Machine that are as close as possible to the characteristics of the business.

Watch this video where they take a look at the startup Boolean Careers and in which I was asked for more information to which I responded, realistically if inaccurately, with the sole purpose of testing the model.

Receive advice on measurement and implementation

You can ask the Growth Machine Assistant to go further in suggesting metrics, tactics and OKRs.

In this video I ask for support in building the Growth Machine from Quantive, the reference software for managing OKRs, and continue with these prompts.

  • “Give me 3 ideas on how to measure the performance of the first gear.”
  • “Can you suggest 3 tactics for each metric? Show the results in a table.”
  • “Who could accountable for this gear and what could be the OKR of the next quarter?

Possible applications

The assistant is very useful both in brainstorming about one’s business and in analyzing competitors.

It can be used both by leadership in the Growth Machine construction phases, but also by teams that need to help execute the strategy.

ChatGPT is very accurate in suggesting initiatives, KPIs and OKRs by putting itself in the shoes of different business roles. If you can think of a particular business case, write to me, I am curious to test it.

Build your competitor, or your best ally

The first thing I thought as I was providing information and improving results was that I was creating a competitor to STRTGY. In reality, I realized that I had created one of the best allies I could imagine because it allows you to quickly get source information to trigger quality conversations quickly and accurately.

The assistant will be available starting tomorrow as part of the advanced tools in the OKR Toolkit for selected clients and OKR Certified Coaches only.

If you would also like to gain lifetime access to future versions and contribute to development, attend The Growth Machine Workshop on one of the available dates.
