There you are!

One after another, we came to the last note that makes up the Action Plan for 2022.

Here they are all together:

Four strategic levels That build on each other. At the base of it all is, as you can imagine, People. They are always the most important choice we make.

In life we choose friends, partners, people to follow, etc.

So too in business it is important to choose the people you work with: bosses, colleagues, associates and … customers.

Therefore, it becomes important to put yourself in the best position to attract the right people, influence them positively, invite them to take a piece of the journey together.

There is no stronger magnet than being able to to define and communicate their Vision clearly.

It all starts here.

The products you will create.
The business model you will decide to adopt.
The team that will join you.
The goals you will want to achieve.

From the Vision.

Now is the time to gain clarity and focus.

To visualize the destination and the road.

To be strategic and pragmatic.

Those who know where to go become unstoppable.

Welcome to 2022, it will be a great year.

ALWAYS MAKE PROGRESS

-Antonio

● PEOPLE / Setting the vision

It attracts the right people

I happened to call Luca Barboni recently to exchange greetings and tell him how the year just ended so I couldn’t help but ask him how their OKRs in 247X were going.

Luca and Roberto Verde adopted them two years ago now. I didn’t have to tell them much except to transfer the basics to prevent them from making the most common mistakes and lend them some frameworks I was designing to go faster.

You know what happens when a spark goes off near the gasoline? Miro’s boards where they were working with the team were literally on fire. In record time they were able to prepare the entire target architecture and launch their first cycle.

Fast forward. End of December 2021.
A: “Luca how are your OKRs going?”
L: “Good, we’ve completely turned them around!”
A: “What happened?”
L: “We worked on our Vision. The one we had no longer represented the direction in which we wanted to go, it no longer made sense. The pieces didn’t fit together anymore. I worked with the whole team, talked personally with each of them, identified common patterns that united us, and we completely redefined it. Now it is perfect again! Everything works better now and the team is happier!”

It was not a video call, but I could see that his eyes were shining.

If you want to spark the same fire, I suggest you work on your Vision and Mission today. I leave you with two basic guiding questions by answering which you will be able to be precise, effective, and crystal clear.

VISION. What is the best version of the world you want to create?
Yes specific. What will the lives of people who have interacted with your products be like? How will they be better than they are today?

MISSION. What do you have to do, incredibly well, today, to achieve that version of the world you want to create?
Again, be specific. What is your core business? What do you need to focus on to be the best? To make an impact?

If you’d like, feel free to send me your answers. I am happy to know what you are creating and to help you have the best Vision and Mission ever written.

They will be fundamental to the work we do together this year.
