Hey, happy Monday!
Good to see you back in the 174 note! This week was physically and intellectually demanding because I traveled a lot: from Florence to Turin, for the first BACKSTAGE of Q2, then Milan, Brescia and finally to Florence to get my thoughts in order.
In this issue I have collected the most important aspects of this week that I want to share because what we do at STRTGY is deeply connected to the reality of businesses, large and small.
There is not only theory, there is a lot of work that goes on beneath the surface of this communication channel and that leads us to evolve the strategic tools we make available to the community.
Here’s everything new at STRTGY:
1. Growth Machine Workshop April 22 (new date)
By popular demand, I have made available a new date for the Growth Machine Workshop: Monday, April 22 from 12 noon to 6 p.m.
As always, 90 minutes of intense, guided work to develop the mechanics of growth for your organization, your project or a project of your clients.
The Growth Machine is the absolute most stable and most important element of your strategy because it allows you to align all individual strategic decisions and teamwork into a simple guidance system.
Seats are limited to prioritize the quality of one-on-one interactions.
I assure you that these 90 minutes together will be the best investment of Q2.
Here is what those who participated in previous workshops had to say:
“It puts all the ideas in your head in order to make them a reality!” – Felipe, CEO of Scuders
“Insightful, effective, practical” – Alberto, CIO Now
“Essential, effective, enlightening” – Federica, CEO Tandù

2. OKR Q&A from Backstage in Turin.
BACKSTAGE events are always full of energy, where the community learns from the success stories of companies that are adopting the methodology MAKE PROGRESS. Many interesting questions always arise that are worth answering.
I have posted the most profound questions and the most accurate answers on the site.
My Answers to the top-3 questions
3. What happens when you use RICE to prioritize the backlog.
RICE is one of the most widely used backlog prioritization systems, and it is primarily used by product managers to identify activities with the greatest product impact. However, it is not a framework I am particularly sympathetic to.
I explain why in this LinkedIn post of mine in which I show a photograph of the Yekaterinburg Stadium in 2018.
What does the stadium have to do with it?
4. New Trend 2024 added to the collection: Business at Work
A new addition to the already very large list-perhaps the most comprehensive on the web-about the strategic trends of 2024.
The Businesses at Work 2024 report produced by Okta, which, using anonymized data from its customers, shares evolutions in the use of the latest apps by highlighting the preferences of tech startups and large Fortune 500 companies.
Key Points of the Report:
– Most Popular Apps of the Last Year in the B2B Industry
– Fastest-Growing App Category: new directions for business technology investments.
– Leading Fastest-Growing Apps: which tools could become essential in the coming years.
– App Adoption Trends by Industry and Country: drill-down of market dynamics.
Update your strategy with 200+ strategic reports
Let’s get ready for a great week!
That is all for this issue as well. As always, if you want to get down deep with the tools at STRTGY, I invite you to pick a time from my calendar to talk about them and see them all in detail, but more importantly, understand how they can fit your organization’s needs to accelerate strategic execution and get your teams coordinated and accurate faster and achieve the results that matter.
ALWAYS MAKE PROGRESS ⤴
Antonio
